The Red Arrows Are Coming to Hamilton!

Heads up, Hamilton! The skies are about to get a whole lot cooler as the legendary Red Arrows, the United Kingdom’s top-tier aerobatic team, are making a pit stop at the Canadian Warplane Heritage Museum. This isn’t just any fly-by; they’re landing for a special visit to celebrate the RCAF's 100th Anniversary Tour!

Mark Your Calendar: Wednesday, September 11 from noon to approximately 2 PM

The Red Arrows will be grounded (yes, no aerial loop-de-loops this time) but don’t worry, you’ll get a rare chance to see these sleek jets up close. Pro Tip: This isn’t an air show, so keep your binoculars at home. But for any aviation enthusiasts out there, this is still an amazing opportunity to see some world-class aircraft in person. The team will be hanging out at the museum before taking part in a very special photo flight with the iconic Lancaster bomber at around 2 PM.

But there’s a catch—it’s weather dependent. And if it’s a washout, sadly, no rainchecks. So cross your fingers for clear skies!

Why the Red Arrows Are So Legendary

The Red Arrows fly the BAE Systems Hawk, a British-engineered single-engine jet that’s as versatile as it is fast. Originally known as the Hawker Siddeley Hawk, this aircraft has been sold to over 18 countries, with more than 1,000 in operation worldwide. Whether it's used for training or combat, the Hawk is a force to be reckoned with, and the Red Arrows have mastered it.

Whether you’re a hardcore aviation geek or just curious, this event is a must for Hamiltonians who love the thrill of seeing history (and some seriously cool planes) up close. Be there, or be square!
