National Housing Day, officially recognized by the Federal Government of Canada in 2000, is a day to recognize the ongoing efforts to improve access to safe and affordable housing across the country.
In Hamilton, we celebrate National Housing Day by recognizing the efforts of the City, housing partners, and the community in addressing homelessness and housing issues. This year’s event theme is Hamilton’s Tenant Support Program, which provides education, financial and administrative resources to tenants facing unlawful eviction.
This year's National Housing Day event will focus on the theme of Hamilton’s Tenant Support Program, which provides valuable resources and education for both tenants and landlords.
Attendees will hear from key representatives of the City of Hamilton and housing advocates, who will speak about ongoing efforts to address housing challenges.
Following the presentations, there will be an opportunity to network with community partners and service providers, with refreshments to foster connections and collaboration.
