Air Canada has forged a groundbreaking partnership with The Landline Company to redefine travel for residents of Hamilton-Wentworth and the Waterloo Region, granting them seamless access to Air Canada’s vast global network and an array of travel opportunities.

In a landmark collaboration, Air Canada and The Landline Company have unveiled a cutting-edge motorcoach service linking Hamilton and the Region of Waterloo airports to Toronto Pearson International Airport. This innovative service empowers travelers to effortlessly book their journeys with Air Canada from Hamilton or Waterloo, connecting seamlessly through Toronto to destinations worldwide. The premium motorcoach service, meticulously synchronized with Air Canada flights, guarantees a smooth and stress-free travel experience. Initially launched in collaboration with John C. Munro Hamilton International Airport, this integrated service holds promise for expansion to other Canadian locations in the future, solidifying Hamilton's position as a key hub for regional travel.

Ranbir Singh, Director of Regional Airlines and Markets at Air Canada, expressed enthusiasm about the collaboration, stating, “We are thrilled to introduce this new service in partnership with The Landline Company, offering our customers a convenient, stress-free multimodal option that simplifies connections and enhances the travel experience. This partnership underscores our commitment to enhancing regional services and improving connectivity for travelers, particularly those in the vibrant city of Hamilton.”

Nick Johnson, Vice President of Commercial for Landline, echoed this sentiment, saying, “We are excited to launch our premium connecting service from Hamilton and the Region of Waterloo in partnership with Air Canada. Passengers can now enjoy premium onboard amenities, protected flight connections, and a seamless booking experience at no additional cost when paired with their Air Canada flight, enhancing Hamilton's reputation as a travel-savvy city.”

Cole Horncastle, Executive Managing Director of John C. Munro Hamilton International Airport, highlighted the significance of this development for Hamilton's air travel landscape, stating, "Today marks an exciting milestone for air travel in Hamilton as Air Canada’s luxury motorcoaches, operated in partnership with The Landline Company, officially commence service from Hamilton International. This innovative initiative aligns with our commitment to providing passengers with a comfortable and convenient travel experience, while solidifying Hamilton's position as a premier travel destination."

Operational Details:

The Landline Company will operate six non-stop round trips daily between Toronto Pearson and each of the Hamilton and Region of Waterloo airports. Air Canada customers originating from Hamilton will check in as usual and receive boarding passes for all legs of their journey. They will board a luxurious motorcoach branded with Air Canada at a designated departure point within the local airport, with checked baggage loaded onto the coach. Upon arrival at Toronto Pearson, customers will proceed directly to the departure level with their baggage.

In the event of delays in either coach or flight schedules, passengers traveling on Landline will be automatically rebooked, mirroring the process for those traveling solely by air. Aeroplan members will accrue points for both ground and air segments, similar to standard connecting flight itineraries.

Luxury Motorcoaches:

The motorcoaches utilized by Landline for Air Canada are manufactured in Canada by Prevost, renowned for their touring coaches. Each Landline motorcoach offers a deluxe experience, featuring 36 spacious leather seats arranged in a two-by-one configuration. Passengers enjoy complimentary WiFi, power outlets, table trays at each seat, ample overhead storage, and an onboard restroom. Announcements are provided in both official languages, and the coaches are fully accessible, including a power lift for passengers requiring mobility assistance.

Air Canada’s Regional Connectivity:

In addition to its extensive global network, Air Canada serves 40 communities across Canada, often in collaboration with regional carriers. With this partnership with Landline, Air Canada extends its regional network, facilitating direct connections from Hamilton to global destinations. There is significant potential for future expansion of this partnership to include additional regional airports across Canada, further enhancing Hamilton's connectivity and accessibility as a premier travel hub.
