New Non-Stop Flight from Hamilton to St. John's: Bridging Two Vibrant Cities.

Hello Hamiltonians! As of May 17, 2024, you can now hop on a non-stop flight from our very own Hamilton to the bustling capital of Newfoundland and Labrador, St. John’s. WestJet, the airline we all know and love, picked up this route, which was previously operated by Swoop. This exciting service runs up to five times a week until October 14, 2024.

It is easier for us to explore the beautiful eastern province and for Newfoundlanders to experience all that Hamilton has to offer. No more layovers or long travel times! Dennis Hogan, Chief Executive Officer of the St. John’s International Airport Authority, couldn’t have said it better: “We are delighted that WestJet is continuing non-stop service to Hamilton. This route offers enhanced access to Ontario, which is our largest Canadian market, and echoes the positive response from travellers. We thank WestJet for seeing the potential in this route, and look forward to continuing our partnership.” Andrew Gibbons, Vice President of External Affairs with WestJet, echoed this excitement, highlighting the community's strong support for this route. “We recognize the importance of the return of WestJet’s service between St. John’s and Hamilton and are sincerely grateful for the overwhelming support and advocacy from the community. We heard loud and clear how critical connectivity from Ontario is for the region and we look forward to strengthening the connection between these two vibrant provinces.”

With the service kicking off just as summer began, it’s the perfect time to plan a trip. Whether you’re dreaming of hiking Signal Hill, exploring the vibrant arts scene in St. John’s, or simply enjoying the stunning coastal views, now’s your chance. And for Newfoundlanders, Hamilton’s festivals, museums, and culinary delights are just a non-stop flight away.

So, book your tickets and get ready for an exciting travel experience. WestJet’s new non-stop flight is making our world a little smaller and our connections a lot stronger. Safe travels, and happy flying!
